Position Overview

As the Technical Product Manager for Global Motorization E-Commerce, you will play a critical role in understanding market trends, consumer needs, and technical requirements to drive the development of cutting-edge automated shade products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – including motorization engineers, brand owners, and E-Commerce leadership – to ensure the successful execution of product requirements and meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the smart home and consumer electronics space, combined with strong market research and project management skills. 

What you'll do

  • Understand the global E-commerce market, consumer needs and the Smartview offering/roadmap. Participate in training, knowledge articles and escalated issue resolution
  • Determine the best path to adapt the existing Smartview product line to Select Blinds shade products. This would include customizations required as determined by the Select team such as hardware adaptations and a custom App.
  • Guide the implementation of the roadmap for Select Blinds and work closely together with the assembly companies at different worldwide locations to achieve this within planning.  Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
  • Work closely with Motorization teams and E-comm leadership to track future Smartview developments, such as Matter, represent NA requirements and assist with the development and roll-out of new products and features globally.  Foster collaboration and strong communication across teams for efficient product development.
  • Train and support the selling companies in the motorization concept to make sure they become self-reliant for sales and support, with yourself and the motorization team as back-up.  
  • Regularly analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of product initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for future enhancements.
  • All other duties as assigned

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role. Proficient in communicating hardware, firmware, and software requirements between stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the smart home and consumer electronics space.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
  • Proven ability to unite cross-functional teams with diverse work styles and effectively lead them towards a common goal.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
