Role overview

As a Moderator, your mission is to create a safe and positive gaming environment for all players and communities. You will play a vital role in protecting gamers from harmful content, including harassment, hate speech, and unnecessary violence. By diligently monitoring and filtering content, you will ensure they can enjoy their passion without fear of harassment, unwanted content or bullying. Your dedication as a guardian of the gaming community will foster a space that thrives on respect, inclusivity, and the joy of gaming. Requirements

What are we looking for? Our Trust & Safety Moderator has a knack for the following skills:

Communication:

  • Moderate digital content, including text, images, and videos, with a keen eye for identifying harmful or inappropriate material.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, addressing project-related requests and maintaining seamless communication channels.

Analytics:

  • Audit and assess interactions, ensuring they are rated accurately based on their severity level.
  • Compile and report trends and improvement opportunities from audits, translating them into actionable data for process enhancements.

Leadership:

  • Actively participate in feature testing and tool improvements, contributing to the continuous refinement of content moderation practices.
  • Optimism, hardiness, and stress resilience to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to changing circumstances with ease.
  • Multitask and prioritize efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and effectively.
  • Accountability and responsibility, taking ownership of assigned tasks and delivering results.
  • Agility and willingness to change, embracing new ideas and approaches with a capability to adapt to evolving circumstances.
  • Self-motivation, innovative, and analytical, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

  • Identify errors and inconsistencies in relation to established procedures and protocols, maintaining adherence to best practices.
  • Understand that a moderator role implies potentially being exposed to foul content. Our moderators should be resilient, mature, and professional in order to provide the highest possible quality service. Bearing in mind specific content that might be considered offensive by some, we ensure that the support for your well-being will be provided.

You'd be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Mastery in C1-C2 level LANGUAGE proficiency.
  • Emotional stability, self-awareness, and strong auto-analysis skills to handle challenging situations with composure and make well-informed decisions.
  • Optimism, hardiness, and stress resilience to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to changing circumstances with ease.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in managing or moderating online forums/discord within the gaming space, either professionally or during your spare time.

Phases of our recruitment journey:

  • After reviewing your candidacy, we invite you to our online assessment (Content moderation, Spanish and English) to better evaluate your moderation and written skills. Our Moderation test will require typing, so we would encourage you to take it on a computer and make sure you have the keyboard in your language settings to facilitate its completion. Check your inbox to find the test invitation and keep your phone close!
  • Once you submit your test, the assessment will take a couple of business days to be evaluated.
  • If you successfully pass the test - we’ll invite you for the online Interview via MS Teams with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists. It’s a perfect chance to exchange questions and get to know each other better. For some projects there might be a second interview with a Team Lead or an Operations Manager.
  • At the end of our journey - hopefully you will receive an offer and become our new Keywordian!
