Electra Lift is a Sydney-based elevator and escalator company established in 1972. Electra Lift has continued striving to meet customer needs in Maintenance, Repairs, and Modernisation for over four decades.

Electra Lift Company specializes in lift modernization and installation. Our operation is growing, and we are looking for a qualified fitter (or fitter/machinist) with good all-around mechanical skills, willing to take on a diverse mechanical fitting role, including workshop and on-site tasks.

We are looking for a Modernization and BEX Sales Consultant based in Mascot. This role reports to the Sales and Service Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Modernization sales leads from construction lead indicators, industry reports, tenders, personal sales research, and customer networks. 

  • Determine client requirements and design parameters quickly to configure Electra products/solutions and be able to assist in the development of future construction projects to maximize Otis’s opportunity to secure new business. 

  • Develop and implement a strategy to maximize Electra's opportunity for acceptance of proposals. 

  • Conduct negotiations with clients, gaining progressive support from local management and Support Departments depending on the project size. 

  • Interact with senior management within Electra and OTIS to develop sales strategies and value propositions and manage the sales through OTIS sales processes.

What you will need to be successful

  • Preferably hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or its equivalent.

  • Experience working within a large, matrixed company environment and proven sales track record for developing and selling large deals. 

  • Sales experience within the Lift or Engineering industry will be preferred.

  • Good knowledge of using technology,y including mobile applications and computer-based reporting systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, database management) to analyze data and trends.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills.

  • Have exceptional time management skills and possess strong organizational abilities.

  • Excellent attention to detail and results-driven.
