The Mobile Lead (iOS/Android) is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of mobile applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and user experience. This role involves leading a team of mobile developers, driving best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class mobile solutions. The Mobile Lead plays a crucial role in defining technical strategies and ensuring seamless mobile experiences for users. 
 

What you will do

Mobile App Development Leadership 

  • Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of iOS and Android applications, ensuring high performance and scalability. 

  • Ensure mobile experiences meet the needs of our customers first and foremost.

Technical Strategy 

  • Define and implement best practices for mobile development, aligning with business objectives and industry trends. 

  • Make decisions based on data and analytical rigor—every change should be measured and validated. 

Team Leadership & Mentorship 

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of mobile developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. 

  • Encourage curiosity and continuous learning within the team, fostering a growth mindset. 

Cross-Platform Collaboration 

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with product goals. 

  • Operate with a One Team mentality—engineering, product, and design working together toward the same goals. 

Code Quality & Standards 

  • Enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices in mobile development. 

  • Favor pragmatic solutions within established frameworks while allowing for flexibility where needed. 

Performance Optimization 

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring smooth and efficient app experiences. 

  • Iterate frequently and focus on delivering improvements quickly rather than waiting for a “perfect” solution. 

Security & Compliance 

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and app store guidelines. 

  • Take full ownership and accountability of the mobile platform, proactively addressing issues. 

Innovation & Emerging Technologies 

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in mobile technologies, frameworks, and development trends, integrating new tools when relevant. 

Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting 

  • Lead efforts to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues in mobile applications. 

Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) 

  • Implement and manage automated build and deployment pipelines to streamline development processes. 

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Extensive experience in mobile development for iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java). 

  • Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture). 

  • Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and automation. 

  • Familiarity with cross-platform development frameworks like Flutter or React Native is a plus. 

  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. 

  • Proficiency in mobile security best practices and compliance requirements. 

  • Experience in managing app store releases and publishing guidelines. 

  • Leadership experience with a proven ability to mentor and guide development teams. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
