As a Mobile Engineer on our team, you’ll develop high-quality, maintainable code, leveraging modern technologies and best practices to solve complex customer challenges. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Management, stakeholders, and your peers to design and implement impactful features. Your contributions will power real estate decisions, enhance user engagement, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile app development. What you'll do:
- Build high-quality, scalable, and reliable mobile solutions that make a real impact on millions of homebuyers, renters, and sellers.
- Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional squad of Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Engineers to bring innovative ideas to life.
- Share your knowledge and grow alongside your peers by mentoring, pairing, and exchanging ideas in a supportive team environment.
- Explore and experiment with emerging technologies, driving innovation that enhances user experiences and sets new industry standards.
- Take ownership and drive solutions forward, bringing your ideas to the table and making meaningful contributions with autonomy.
- Engage in team discussions, provide insights, and help shape technical decisions that influence the future of our mobile apps.
How we work:
We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. Our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.
What you'll bring:
- Background in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on building scalable applications.
- Experience developing mobile applications using React Native; familiarity with Expo is a plus.
- Comfort working with GraphQL and Python.
- Familiarity with Postgres; experience with AWS is a plus.
- Strong understanding of system design principles and the ability to evaluate trade-offs between different approaches.
- Ability to deliver impactful features quickly and iterate based on user feedback.
- Commitment to software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience in releasing, maintaining, and supporting mobile applications in a production environment.
