Join our talented team as we embark on an uncharted gaming adventure! We're on the lookout for a passionate Senior Technical Artist to contribute their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons® PC/console project. This innovative game will blend the features of action-RPG/survival with unique elements of life-simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.

Qualifications

Job Description 

  • Help create and manage the character and creature art pipeline, with a strong focus on building the advanced customization system.
  • Collaborate with the Character and VFX teams to implement visual effects, shaders, and advanced materials.
  • Work closely with the animation team to design and implement complex custom character rigs.
  • Develop the flow and maintain an optimized technical art pipeline.
  • Help the programming team to develop unique features, debug, profile and optimize game content for the target platforms.
  • Work closely with the art team to integrate art content in game engines and create tools to facilitate the production process.
  • Create tools to improve the artists' workflow, while keeping user experience in mind.
  • Support the artists by documenting tools, creating guidelines and developing best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest tools and techniques being used in the video game industry and identify which ones can be applied to the project.
  • Mentor Intermediate and Junior Tech Artists, as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong skills in advanced character and creature rigging and skinning, body mechanics, and animation styles
  • Experience in simulation, morphing flow/systems
  • Advanced proficiency in 3d software as Maya or 3ds Max
  • Skilled in creating and optimizing visual effects in real time, with a strong understanding of designing shaders and/or complex special effects
  • Deep understanding of tools and workflows for cross-platform productions
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Knowledge of profiling/debugging tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and processes
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in graphics for stylized productions
