As part of Intel's Manufacturing Automation organization, the Equipment Automation Group never stands still. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who excels in working independently as an individual or as part of a team to join us as Mfg Systems Software Development Engineer, in leading the way in delivering Automation Solutions to Intel's dynamic manufacturing environment.
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Integrates, develops, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory Automation software systems.
- Coordinates factory requirements, maps them to automation systems capabilities, and recommends technical solutions.
- Applies advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
- Serves as automation expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams.
- Position will include some software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools.
- Perform system validation/testing, troubleshooting, software quality control and partner with Virtual Factory for knowledge and issue sharing.
- Work on a 24x7 day and night shift rotation.
As a Mfg Systems Software Development Engineer in this group, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to state-of-the-art world class IT systems, trained with industry demanded equipment and automation integration skills, Agile and SCRUM methodologies, crisis management, IT technical skills and being involved in, or leading Malaysia wide and Global automation project. You will have the opportunity to work closely as a global team with your peers and many other critical functional groups in various Intel Fabrication and Assembly Test Foundry sites in the Americas, Europe and Asia region. You will also have the opportunity to be exposed in areas of machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) operations and solution where opportunities demand for them.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and other relevant engineering disciplines or Master's or other higher degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong team player
- Resourceful, creative and innovative in coming out with ideas to resolve issues
- Proficient with current IT technologies
- Intermediate technical/programming knowledge of programming - Python, C, C#, Power Shell scripting
- Project/Program management knowledge is a plus
- Able to work shift
