Tasks and Qualifications:
This is what you will do in this role:
- Develop, monitor and control the execution of Metalfab purchasing strategies for MTY and DDC operating units .
- Analysis of risks and opportunities in the Metalfab strategic purchasing process.
- Demonstrated ability to solve, and to lead others in solving, complex analytical problems.
- Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions.
- Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills and build collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders with varying points of view
- Ability to build and facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Ability to be flexible in rapidly changing conditions and priorities, and to redirect managers and teams toward new ideas and approaches in work methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate a strategic vision effectively and clearly.
- Promote the process-based approach and risk-based thinking including improvement in the strategic purchasing process, ensuring that information and recommendations from audits, other assessments and management reviews are communicated to the responsible persons, acting as the champion in purchasing improvement projects.
- Follow and comply with all rules of environment, health, and safety. Encourage Kion values and culture within the department.
- Follow Compliance Policy and ensure adherence of the policy within the department.
What we are looking for:
- 8 to 10 years in the procurement area (strategic purchasing, purchasing, supply chain or experience related to the supply chain).
- Experience leading a team
- Basic knowledge of SAP, MS Applications, ISO-9001, 14001, 45001
- Experience with lean six sigma and continuous improvement projects preferred.
- Any APIC certification preferred.
- Advanced excel knowledge and experience.
- Experience in project-based manufacturing environment is a plus.
