We are looking for you, if you have:
- 5+ years of experience with IBM MQ administration and troubleshooting,
- strong knowledge of MQ objects and their configuration,
- proficiency in using MQSC for administrative tasks,
- experience with monitoring tools and log file analysis for problem determination,
- experience with SSL configuration (certificates management),
- strong knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools,
- experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash),
- familiarity with cloud integration and cluster expansion,
- excellent problem-solving and communication skills,
- knowledge of additional messaging systems like Solace or Kafka is a plus,
- ability to document processes and maintain system configurations accurately,
- experience with MQ flows creation,
- ready to work with 24/7 on-call support to meet client requirements,
- speak English at least at B1 level,
- excellent problem-solving and analytical skills,
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
- min. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
You'll get extra points for:
- certifications in IBM MQ or related technologies,
- experience with high availability MQ environment (e.g., RDQM),
- experience with IBM MQ AMS.
- Azure DevOps/GIT,
- experience with automation solutions,
- experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and an understanding of system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance,
- experience in managing security requirements,
- experience with Java programming.
Your Responsibilities:
- architect, design, and administer IBM MQ, including Pub/Sub and Advanced RDQM,
- install, configure, and support IBM MQ environments (Development, Testing, Production),
- collaborate with application developers to design solutions using advanced messaging features,
- monitor and test application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks,
- design and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies,
- provide 3rd level support and act as a technical leader for the support team,
- liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution,
- develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment and configuration using tools like Ansible,
- participate in on-call rotation to support messaging infrastructure,
- configure MQ objects and perform log analysis related to IBM MQ,
- check and set MQ Authorities.
Information about the squad:
The squad you will be working is a team responsible for managing cloud infrastructure for various ING Hubs clients. The Team is supporting BAU activities and is additionally involved in multiple projects
The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer IV”.
