Summery:
The MEP Project Manager is responsible for oversee the planning, design, and implementation of all MEP systems on one of the company’s most sizable projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Local and international standards, company policies and procedures are met regarding safety, scheduling, budget, quality and delivering the project within the stipulated time and budget.
Lucid is seeking a MEP manager with at least 15 years of commercial | industrial construction experience. Previous experience in working within heavy Industrial facilities is a plus. The MEP Manager will work closely with all members of the project team and will assist with the supervision of all craft employees.
Duties:
- Extensive knowledge in all MEP system (Plumbing, Fire Protection, HVAC, Compressed Air, Medium Voltage Network, Low voltage power network, Low Current & data systems ) is Must .
- Direct, Monitor & coordinate all Lucid’s Trade contractors and their subcontractors, to ensure high-quality work that meets the project goals.
- Lead contractor meetings, oversee daily reports and document using Procore on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with Designer and other internal & external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Supervise the construction & Installation of large construction project in a MEP Manager role and act as the primary point of contact for MEP-related inquiries and issues.
- Coordinate procurement of MEP materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery.
- Lead Testing & Commissioning efforts of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor MEP work progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to be able to coordinate trades, forward looking planning, and ability to anticipate potential problems before they arise.
- Monitor safety performance and verify safety compliance with all trades; act as primary safety representative in the field and enforce quality control policies.
- Resolve jurisdictional disputes.
- Work directly with capital equipment suppliers to ensure compatibility with building facility infrastructure.
- Attend daily project managers meeting and discuss major concerns and review KPI’s
- Follow all government guidelines for projects and adhere to all applicable OSHA and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience in Overseeing Large / Complex industrial construction projects $175M+ from conception to completion.
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational & problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to changing needs.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards in all divisions of work, methods, scheduling, and cost control.
- Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to work in a “safety first” culture.
Requirements:
BS or MS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum 15+ years of experience on a construction project or multiple projects in a Similar role.
Automotive Construction Experience is a Plus.
