The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is advancing Phase III of the St. Elizabeths Campus program, focusing on the construction of the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency Headquarters. This $500M, 630,000 SF facility follows the Coast Guard Headquarters and precedes the ICE Headquarters. The campus, a historic site with unique environmental challenges, requires precision and excellence. AECOM, serving as the construction agent, supports GSA in collaboration with Clark Construction.

The project involves:

  • Two new buildings (300,000+ SF)
  • A parking structure (346,500 SF, 990 spaces)
  • Extensive site infrastructure, including utilities, IT, and stormwater systems

This mission-critical program offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced MEP Project Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of DHS operations.

Position Overview

iParametrics is seeking a MEP Project Manager (Quality Control) to join the team supporting AECOM and GSA. This is a long-term, on-site position based in Washington, D.C. The role is full-time, with a five-year duration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, exceptional communication skills, and experience managing complex federal construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage MEP Quality Control tasks, ensuring compliance with design specifications and federal standards.
  • Oversee and guide a team of 2–3 MEP inspectors.
  • Collaborate closely with AECOM, GSA, Clark Construction, and other stakeholders.
  • Review and oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate with the Architectural and Historic QC supervisors for project alignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years as an MEP Project Manager on federal projects ($150M+).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering.
  • Certifications: CCM, PMP, or PE preferred.
  • Clearance: Must be eligible for or hold an HSPD-12 clearance.
  • Located in D.C or willing to relocate

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience managing MEP systems for large-scale federal projects (GSA, DoD).
  • Strong understanding of MEP materials, processes, and design/spec review.
  • Leadership experience managing MEP-focused teams, estimators, and schedulers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
