The Role 

Provide support services to clients on healthcare enabling technology related projects in a Go-LIVE Support capacity. Work directly with the Practice Director and/or Practice Manager and Consulting Services Team to enable support solution Go-LIVE and provide exceptional on-site solution delivery based upon the needs of Nordic clients. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

The Hourly Consultant will have the following key responsibilities which include, but are not limited to: 

  • Perform healthcare enabling technology related Go-LIVE Support services for Nordic clients. 

  • Based on role in project may apply technical expertise to individual client system build in 

  • order to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems. 

  • Track and document risks and issues. 

  • Work closely with project leadership, including documentation and facilitation. 

  • Work directly with Nordic team or health information system end-users; and providing support as needed.  

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Skills and Experience 

  • 2+ years’ experience in healthcare. 

  • Previous experience as a consultant is an asset. 

  • Corporate Strategy and Asset Valuation experience a huge plus. 

  • University degree or college diploma in Business, health field or equivalent. 

  • PMP, ITIL or another Health Informatics Certificate an asset. 

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. 

  • Highly organized, able to multi-task as well as maintain intense focus on individual tasks. 

  • Self-starter with ability to maintain schedule, meet deadlines, and monitor one’s own work product. 

  • Highly adaptable; able to acclimate quickly to new project assignments; to include, but not limited to: 

  • Adapt quickly to new work environments. 

  • Work successfully with different teams and co-workers. 

  • Client workplace rules and regulations. 

  • Varying travel and living arrangements due to project location changes (when applicable). 

  • Possess a strong work ethic, treats others with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works ethically and with integrity, and upholds organizational values. 

  • Very high degree of professionalism. 

 

Additional details 

  • Work will primarily be performed at client locations, some of which may be in hospitals and medical clinics over which Nordic no direct control. 

  • Position works a non-traditional schedule; work may be needed on weekends or evenings. 

  • Assignment requires on-site attendance all or part of the time they are actively working. 

  • Some work locations are not located in the city in which the consultant lives; this normally requires staying in hotels or other lodgings. 

  • Position may require extensive travel via various modes of transportation. 

  • Consultant assignments may necessitate travel outside of scheduled work hours (e.g. flying on weekends or evenings). There may also be the possibility of travel interruptions which may affect the Consultant. 

  • Must be available for calls, emails, and consults regularly and outside of scheduled work hours to support the client and communicate with home office as necessary. This involves checking email, or voicemail on a regular basis throughout the day to respond to client or business matters.
