Job Description
The package QC operator will be responsible for performing quality control checks on all outgoing deliveries. Primary responsibilities include checking and delivering media packages (audio, video, subtitles, preview, artwork, and SCC ). This includes checking the A/V spec and XML structure.
General knowledge in video types, SMPTE timecode, frame rates, and various video or audio file types is expected. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the MMC manifest.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade-specific education.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- High level of organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and ethics.
- Excellent communication skills over the phone and email.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- A deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a flexible environment with self-direction.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and past their normal scheduled shift if needed.
- Ability to motivate self and others.
- Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT), etc.
Responsibilities:
- Checking media content (video, audio, subtitles, etc.) to confirm compliance with client specifications and to note video and audio quality issues as well as checks for subtitles and close captions.
- Writing a clear description of the issues
- Verifying that the appropriate update/correction is made to the project.
- Delivering packages to different destinations Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and others
- Creating MMC manifest
- Following and completing QC checklists.
- Follow internal as well as client-specific security protocols
- Duties require a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
