Spotify is looking for a passionate brand media professional to join our APAC Media Team. The Korea + SEA Media Manager will be responsible for working with the Asia marketing team to develop effective and innovative strategies in brand media that drive brand love and create demand for Spotify. This role will oversee brand media primarily for the Korea market and the rest of SEA inclusive of both traditional and digital media.
The right person for this role is a collaborative leader with broad expertise in building media strategies across all media channels and experience overseeing and personally managing execution. You thrive in a fast paced environment, high creative, collaborative and able to operate autonomously. This position will report into the Head of Marketing Asia with a dotted line into the Media Lead in APAC.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the marketing team in Asia (KR and SEA) to create and implement our media strategies focusing on; audience first, innovative media plans and partnerships
- Lead day to day communication with agency partners and external media vendors to ensure Spotify objectives are clearly communicated
- Review all buys from media agency and media partners ensuring they are consistent with media strategy, in line with budget, flighted properly and executable based on production schedules
- Establish planning parameters, standard processes, and guidelines for Korea, as well as SEA initiatives
- Remain abreast of new and emerging platforms and the opportunities they represent, as well as changes in existing platforms that impact media performance
- Assess and propose enhancements based on campaign performance to optimize, measure success, and identify insights for future programs, as well as to ensure all plans are appropriately instrumented
- In partnership with the APAC Media Lead, support negotiation and execution of regional and/or global media deals, JBPs, and partnerships
- Use their knowledge of the varied media landscapes combined with our positioning in each market to support local markets to deliver best in class, locally nuanced media campaigns
- Be responsible for identifying, managing and driving multi-market tailored solutions and partnerships
- Partner with local Marketing teams & Media agency to deliver strategic solutions as well as tactical media plans
Who You Are
- 7+ years working in Strategic Media Planning role at a media agency or on the brand side with proven track record for developing media plans for leading global brands in Korea and SEA
- International experience, understanding of cultural diversity, previous experience working across global brands
- Extensive knowledge of marketing, advertising, and media planning principles with an expert knowledge across all channels including traditional and digital media
- Experience in negotiating and managing media partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive impactful brand media strategies
- Constantly seeks and creates creative opportunities in media to increase visibility/impact with target audiences
- Experience in managing relationships with multiple internal & external partners
- Demonstrated ability for delivering strategic solutions and media plans
- Experience with amplifying content and getting it out to the right audiences
- Ability to operate with autonomy + ambiguity, multi-task projects and partners with equal priority and speed in a fast paced environment
- Culturally curious with a pulse on what is next and an innovative attitude
- Constantly stays abreast of digital trends, emerging technologies, social media development and first to market advertising opportunities
- Bilingual in Korean and English
- Passion for marketing, music, podcasts, & all things Spotify
