Inside the Role
Mechanical engineer who is responsible for the development, design, and integration of chassis platform systems into industry leading heavy duty specialty vehicles. Chassis platform includes, but is not limited to, axles, suspensions, powertrain, steering, fuel systems, HVAC, and frame structure.

Position offers a starting salary range of $110,000 - $141,500 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Develop and design advanced vehicle components and systems. Apply theoretical principles and engineering techniques in designing a vehicle that is reliable, serviceable, energy efficient, competitive, and uses the latest technology available in the industry.

Interface with engineering personnel to determine the most effective and economic design and materials to be used in product parts. Interface with the validation team personnel to analyze problems encountered in prototype development and testing. Provide creative and technically feasible solutions.

Interface and coordinate with multiple internal departments and external suppliers in the product development and testing phases.

Research state-of-the-art developments in the vehicle industry and apply the latest advances.

Apply statistical and engineering techniques in designing and testing. Use programming and modeling techniques in conjunction with mathematical analysis.

Interface with product regulation and compliance personnel to design vehicles that meet government regulations, restrictions and codes.

Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support personnel to provide effective, reliable, and safe solutions to enhance the customer experience with FCCC products.

Collaborate with engineering personnel to design reliable, serviceable, safe, and economic products to be used in specialty vehicle markets.
Knowledge You Should Bring
-
BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience OR 8+ years' of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

CAD modeling, IMACS+, ERS+, Engineering Client experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required
