Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.
Mission:
Design, implement, validate the manufacturing & control processes for the company production capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define, put in place, validate the manufacturing & control processes of the company in collaboration with the design, quality, production, purchasing & cost departments while taking into consideration the following:
- ISO Processes,
- Manufacturing standards
- HSE Standards.
- Define & manage the new industrial resources for fabrication & control (quality/cost/time)
- Write assembly machine & control test bench specification
- Follow up of new machines & test bench developments
- Troubleshoot installations & manage the qualification of new machines & test benches
- Anticipate the launch of new productions and ensure the availability of the necessary resources in collaboration with the production managers
- Take part in supplier technical qualifications
- Define training & process validation
- Ensure the consistency of manufacturing, control files (in regards with the definition files) and manage the administrative follow-up of these files
- Strong support to help implement new processes to support our production process.
- Ensure the optimization of production lines and define new actions in order:
- Guarantee the security of our employees with a focus on our pyrotechnical products
- Improve the ergonomics (accessibility, load handling)
- Minimize the times & ranges of our production lines
- Organise the manufacturing processes and control files review in collaboration with quality, production, purchasing & cost office departments
- Suggest continuous improvement action plans
Profile:
- Engineering or production degree ideally with experience in mechanical manufacturing or electronics testing
- Proven experience with Industrial engineering processes
- Technical knowledge of SMED, PDCA,5S,LEAN
- Fluent in French with English (Good reading and understanding)
- Good communication skills
- Well organised and capable of dealing with multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working in productions environments collaborating with various types of operators
