We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team based in the United Kingdom. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team within a dynamic business delivering innovation to our wind turbine service division.

The role will provide expert mechanical support to our field force to resolve turbine issues. Regularly managing a diverse workload of mechanical queries to supporting major cases, you will also prepare technical information to discuss solutions with our customers.

This is a challenging and varied role in which every day will be different.

Some of your key tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Helping our customers understand and resolving technical issues relating to all mechanical systems

  • Driving quality and continuous improvement

  • Helping our operations department to resolve wind turbine technical issues

  • Working with our Global businesses to deliver solutions

  • Carrying out detailed analysis of mechanical components including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and subsequent reporting

  • Be integral to the development of technical documents

What you need to make a difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for

  • Someone with a degree within an Mechanical Engineering specialization would be preferred. Consideration will also be given to those with relevant equivalent experience.

  • Experience within the wind industry would be advantageous although not essential.

  • A drive to increase specialist knowledge and improve processes.

  • Enthusiastic and keen to make your mark in a growing industry.

  • Problem solver who can demonstrate the ability to communicate these solutions to both internal colleague and external customers.

  • Strong ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
