Job Summary:
ESAero is seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Drafter to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA. The drafter will assist the engineers in the creation and release of mechanical drawings in the multi-functional product development of new aircraft design, while collaborating with project personnel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create and review engineering drawings
- Own top-level assemblies
- Audit sub-assemblies to ensure top level performance does not suffer
- Create drawing trees
- Advise others on best practices for
- Modeling
- Drawings
- Reorganize/revise Technical Data Package to “design as built” for ERP implementation
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Working knowledge of CAD drafting practices/drawing preparation
- SolidWorks experience
- 5-7 years
- Assembly creation/organization
- Drawing tools
- Configuration control
- PDM/CAD Database experience
- SolidWorks PDM preferred
- Development experience preferred
- Understanding of metadata requirements and use cases
- 3-5 years
- Manufacturing environment
- 5 years
- No degree required
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
