Nature of the Job

  • Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Expediter and Purchasing.

  • Expediting those involved in production, vendors and subcontractors in order to meet the deliveries.

  • Prepare and maintain master schedule and project schedules.

  • Organize and chair production meetings and issue meeting reports.

Contact with Others

  • Internally - Project Managers, Service Parts, Shop Engineering, Shop Management, Purchasing, Field Representatives, Engineered Solution, Tech Services, Accounting, Shipping/Receiving, Quality Assurance, and shop personnel.

  • Externally - Vendors and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years’ experience in production control or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred.

  • Understanding of work scope structure, standard hours, durations, lead times, and key metrics such as utilization, efficiency and productivity.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle difficult situations and demanding
    deadlines.

  • Computer literacy with basic PC skills and working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, Vantage, Oracle, Windchill, etc.
