As a part of HBK transformation journey, data governance and high data quality is increasingly important. To support this, a lot of changes are required, therefore, we are currently looking for a Master Data Steward, within Finance, for our Master Data Governance team established in Portugal.
Become a strong sparring partner to our global organization. Work will initially focus on transformation; however, in future you will have the scope to impact global process that you can proactively identify as well as business requests.
As a Master Data Steward, you have a key role in our journey to improve and standardize the way we govern and work with master data. It offers exposure to stakeholders at all levels within HBK.
You thrive driving changes by finding simple solutions to complex problems together with relevant stakeholders and feel comfortable collecting input and putting forward recommended decisions.
Primary responsibilities
You will be working with/responsible for:

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) within Finance
-
Being part of developing the Master Data Governance strategy, model and framework and ensure implementation

Collaborate closely with the business on master data needs, challenges and improvements, incl. support on daily MDM tasks and key projects
-
Define data quality measurements together with the business and establish the needed tools to analyze and monitor the current state of master data quality
-
Facilitate maintenance and improvement of master data quality in the business
-
Advise and educate Data Owners on governance issues and methods
-
Ensure that agreed data governance processes and policies are followed across business functions
-
Map master data to business processes
-
Ensure master data requirements are documented, analyzed, designed and implemented according to the Master Data Governance Model.

Ensure data is managed and understood across lines of business
Professional qualifications
As a Master Data Steward, you are good at overseeing details and creating a data structure. In addition, you have good communication skills and are able to translate your findings and knowledge into easy-to-understand points. As a person, you are process- and solution-oriented.
You are proactive by nature and understand the value of well-planned processes combined with high data quality provided at the right time in the right place. We believe you are comfortable working with hands-on operational tasks such as preparing data extracts and providing day-to-day support to colleagues
We believe that you have strong analytical skills while you easily visualize and communicate to stakeholders from various departments and different levels to make sure the message goes through. Further you:

Have minimum 3-5 years of experience working with Data analysis, Data Governance and/or Data Quality control

Experience with SAP Master data within the relevant business area (Finance). S4 Hana is an advantage, but not a requirement

Have experience of working with large data sets and assigning a structure to them

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business-leaders
