Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marketing & Communication team at Mercer. This role can be based in Toronto or Montreal, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Marketing Specialist, you will develop, plan, design, and implement marketing programs for competitive services/solutions, targeting core B2B buyer hubs (Finance buyers that engage with Mercer for institutional investment, pension and financial wellness services/solutions). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in wealth management marketing and a deep understanding of investment and retirement markets, solutions, segments, and compliance requirements.
We will count on you to:
- Develop campaigns, programs, and content to drive brand awareness, digital engagement, and lead generation. Campaigns are designed based on set objectives and are measured against specific marketing goals.
- Identify and develop differentiated value propositions for various Mercer services, collaborating with business leaders/experts. Create digital content and ensure messaging is accurate, consistent, and compelling for both internal and external audiences.
- Coordinate with local and global marketing team members to determine scope, requirements, and product content marketing plans, ensuring integration with other projects and plans. Projects may include new product launches.
- Execute marketing strategies through a Center of Excellence (COE) model, ensuring best practices, and consistency across all initiatives.
- Develop and lead project plans for campaigns that may include digital content (organic and paid), email marketing and customer centric content such as collateral, whitepapers, blogs, articles, and PR.
- Track marketing metrics using dashboards and analytic tools. Analyze marketing tactics and activities against goals and seek improvements based on findings.
- Monitor and analyze marketplace trends, client needs, and competitive offerings, and collaborate with digital specialist to develop SEO key word research.
- Establish good working relationships with marketing, technical, and business colleagues utilizing strong communication and influencing skills.
- Take on special projects on behalf of the entire marketing team and the CMO that complements the overall marketing team goals and needs.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience in B2B digital marketing, specifically in investment and retirement services, is essential. Candidates should have a strong focus on executing and implementing marketing campaigns, along with a comprehensive understanding of investment markets, solutions, segments, and compliance.
- 1-2 years of experience with an undergraduate degree in marketing, finance, or a related field
- OR 3+ years of relevant experience without a degree
- Familiar and knowledgeable of asset management and investment manager
- Proven project management skills, especially in cross-functional environments
- Strong client-centric focus with demonstrated experience in client communications; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate complex features into clear benefits, with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal guidance
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, with a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance marketing strategies and tool development
