Job Summary

The Marketing Specialist serves as a generalist for the broader department’s brand marketing efforts, but the primary focus will be key account marketing and proving the sales team with marketing support.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of key account and Consortia marketing plans for North America and LATAM, in close collaboration with the sales team.
  • Ensure partner marketing campaigns and content align with Crystal’s guideline and commercial priorities.
  • Update sales content, images, and collateral on trade partner extranets and third-party marketing platforms.
  • Assist with the creation of sales and marketing materials, including presentations, collateral, advertisements, flyers, and emails for both trade (B2B/B2C) and corporate meeting/incentive channels.
  • Develop and communicate briefs to the in-house creative team.
  • Assist in the execution of B2B events, conferences, and trade shows to promote Crystal in the US, Canadian, and LATAM markets, including logistics coordination and the creation of event-specific marketing materials.
  • Provide marketing support to Trade and Reservations teams, including creating communication templates, training materials, webinars, events, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Manage ad hoc requests from the sales and marketing teams, as well as leadership team.
  • Proofread and edit sales marketing materials as required.
  • Track marketing expenditures, manage monthly budgets, and submit invoices to Accounts Payable on time.
  • Update marketing and project plans, and provide weekly activity recaps

Work Environment

Works in a typical office environment with quiet-to-moderate noise generated by computer printer, fax machine and light traffic. Traveling may be required.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.  May require lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.  Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office equipment. 

Expected Hours of Work

The position is fulltime and frequently requires working additional time outside of normal business hours.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred

Experience: 3+ years of experience in marketing, travel/cruise experience a strong plus.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of brand management and executing projects to guidelines.
  • Must be highly detailed-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude who works well cross-functionally.
  • Resourceful, creative self-starter who takes initiative to learn processes and get things done with little supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
