As a Marketing Specialist on our Field & Brand Advertising Strategy team, you’ll play a key role in shaping advertising campaigns that reach millions of consumers across 100+ markets. From compelling TV spots and eye-catching billboards to dynamic digital campaigns and targeted print materials, your work will educate and engage adults 55+ as they make important life decisions.
In this role, you’ll lead creative development from concept to execution—art directing, copywriting and partnering with designers to craft high-impact marketing materials, ensuring seamless delivery across integrated campaigns. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to bring field-driven initiatives, strategic priorities and sales efforts to life, all while upholding brand consistency and creative excellence across every touchpoint.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Project Management

 

·        Leads creative projects from concept to completion, partnering with designers to develop ads, flyers, brochures and other marketing materials that engage and inspire action.

·        Works within the brand strategy and guidelines for Dignity Memorial®—the industry’s leading name, serving 400,000 families annually—to develop creative direction for local consumer-facing broadcast, digital, print, outdoor and sales materials.

·        Crafts compelling copy and messaging for strategic campaigns and local projects, tailoring content to specific audience segments while ensuring alignment with brand strategy and guidelines.

·        Creates assets to meet business and market needs.

·        Customizes established templates to meet specific location needs and promote relevant sales offers.

·        Assists in developing multicultural campaigns and in-language advertising, as well as scalable creative solutions for companywide use (e.g. broadcast, ads, flyers, brochures).

·        Reviews and proofreads creative projects.

·        Helps to coordinate translations and proof in-language materials.

·        Supports the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the SCI Ad Builder, a self-service tool empowering field locations to create localized marketing assets.

·        Understands and incorporates relevant consumer-research findings into marketing projects.

·        Collaborates with other departments to determine common goals to create work in line with company vision, standards and brands.

·        Assists AVP of Brand Marketing & Location Experience, Director of Field & Brand Advertising Strategy, and Director of Brand Experience with creative projects as needed.

Brand Management and Quality Control

        Ensures all marketing materials align with brand strategy, maintain consistency across all touchpoints, and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

        Works closely with internal and external design teams to ensure layouts are on target with graphic brand guidelines for Dignity Memorial and other SCI brands.

        Proofreads and fact-checks all work to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.

        Manages projects within established, comprehensive project management system to ensure that timelines, schedules and accuracy checkpoints are followed.

        Ensures compliance with state- and province-specific legal requirements for local advertising and marketing materials.

        Stays abreast of all federal registration specifics as they pertain to brands, design marks, word marks and taglines.

        Assists in cataloging and maintaining comprehensive filing system for creative artwork, photography, logos and other creative assets.

EDUCATIONAL/Experience/MINIMUM Requirements

Education:

        Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

Experience:

        3-5 years of experience in an in-house marketing department or agency, with a strong track record of developing, writing and managing campaigns and collateral projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

        Strong understanding of branding principles and brand management.

        Proven experience in copywriting and copyediting.

        Experience collaborating with graphic designers, agencies and external vendors.

        Excellent communication skills and ability to work creatively with cross-functional teams.

        Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

        High attention to detail, accuracy and proofreading abilities.

        Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with graphic design software.

        Experience in multicultural marketing a plus.

        Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.
