ADESA, a Carvana owned company, currently operates over 50 locations throughout the US. Our Vehicle Service & Logistics Centers, some up to 200 acres, provide a wide array of vehicle services including repair & reconditioning, auction remarketing, and many of our sites serve as market hub distribution centers. We’re excited about the future! As an industry leader, ADESA is poised for a multi-year expansion including huge investments in facilities, massive sales growth, and an ever-increasing inventory of vehicles! We are looking for great people who want to take this journey with us!

This is a 100% on-site position (Monday through Friday) that may require up to 25% travel.

About the team and position

As a Commercial Marketing Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to represent ADESA with our top national Commercial and Dealer sellers.  You will be responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume and profitability through effective promotion and advertising initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in creating compelling marketing plans for advertisements, sales materials, point of sale displays and social media and email campaigns while adhering to corporate guidelines and policies.

You will work with internal cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans that support new or existing business and create opportunities to maintain or increase market share. You must be a proven leader with a strong professional presence and have the ability to manage a variety of programs that meet/exceed business objectives while being accountable for delivering programs on time and on-budget.

We are seeking a charismatic marketer who enjoys collaborating with customers to solve their business challenges in a fast-paced environment that utilizes the latest digital and analytical tools to work smarter, not harder.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales attendance and achieve maximum dollar sales volume.
  • Coordinate advertising and promotional materials for auctions, ensuring timely submission to printers.
  • Monitor market trends and competition to recommend competitive strategies.
  • Generate sales analysis reports and market reports for management review.
  • Use data software to analyze marketing and sales performance.
  • Oversee the creation of appealing marketing content, including promotional materials and advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor marketing performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create captivating marketing campaigns, encompassing digital, social media, email, and traditional channels.
  • Maintain open communication with Commercial Sales partners, General Managers and other personnel.
  • Implement effective inside sales and sales promotions to enhance auction sales.
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment, setting a high standard for attitude and performance.
  • Embrace your mistakes! You’ll inevitably make a few.

What you should have

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
  • At least two years of experience in a customer-facing role or working with teams.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Suited to working a traditional in-office 5-day a week professional environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Highly organized with an unflappable attention to detail.
  • Have a sense of humor. We’re car remarkets, not brain surgeons.
  • Experience quickly getting up to speed using online software.
  • Willingness to be a people person! You’ll be working with team members across ADESA and Carvana. We’re seeking the kind of person who puts the concerns of others first and is always ready to celebrate a big moment for someone else.
  • An ability to operate in ambiguity with the grace of a gazelle…not the gazelle being hungrily chased by a lion, but the one bounding effortlessly through an open African savanna.
  • The skills to examine processes and develop creative solutions.
  • Proficiencies in tools like Google Slides, Google docs and Canva.
  • An understanding that things will change. We need to know you are okay with that.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves, take on new assignments, and juggle many things at once. In other words, you’re a multi-tasking wizard!

What we’ll offer in return

  • Full-Time Salary Position with a competitive salary.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.
  • 401K with company match.
  • A multitude of perks including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more.
  • A great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy both physically and mentally.
  • Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization.
  • A company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development.
