As the Marketing Manager, you will shape and execute our marketing strategy across YETI Japan. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns that elevate our brand, generate leads and increase our presence in the market. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of brand development, lead generation, content creation, all communication and PR, digital / social media advertising 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and demand generation that converts to sales 

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print and events 

  • Oversee the creation of compelling content that resonates with our target audience and supports our brand positioning 

  • Monitor and manage marketing budgets to achieve ROI targets and strategic goals 

  • Analyse and assess new market opportunities for the Brand in both marketing and sales 

  • Manage and optimise social media advertising campaigns to maximise reach, engagement and lead conversion 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial, ecommerce and finance to ensure alignment and effectiveness of marketing initiatives 

  • Building the YETI brand through compelling storytelling and innovative marketing strategies 

  • Support the successful delivery of the Go-To-Market (GTM) plan including launch campaigns and product communication including wholesale trade marketing as well as Direct-to-consumer retail and online plan 

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, manage market research to gather customer insights and use data to inform strategies and drive continuous improvement 

  • Manage campaigns to drive organisational KPIs, overseeing production with internal teams and external agencies, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery 

  • Track and analyse campaign performance metrics, using data to refine strategies and improve ROI, and prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management 

  • Oversee content marketing strategies that align with brand objectives, ensuring the creation of engaging content across print and digital platforms 

  • Develop and manage Community Marketing plan, recruit potential ambassadors and supporters, sponsorship and seeding plan 

 

Qualifications and Attributes: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or relevant industry experience in a similiar role 

  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in Marketing with at least 2 years in a leadership role 

  • Deep understanding and marketing experience, and relationship with authentic, original, performance-based premium-priced brands in outdoor, sporting goods, houseware or luxury industry  

  • Have a deep understanding of the customer, with obsessive understanding of new trends, and opportunities  

  • Strong skills in the Adobe creative suite  

  • Excellent strategic customer-focused thinking skills; experience using data and metrics to back up assertions of business value  

  • Possess a deep understanding of the various functional aspects of a marketing organization, plus digital/social media landscapes  

  • Strong analytical skills. Able to synthesize information and formulate synopses, identify issues, turn insights into actions, and propose solutions in written documentation is a vital component to the job  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact at senior levels of the organization  

  • Cross-functional experience leading teams/managing multiple agencies and establishing process to drive initiatives forward  

  • Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job; previous experience at a start-up or possess start-up mentality  

  • Nimble, resourceful, accurate, and detail-oriented; thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments  

  • Strong inter-personal and relationship management skills across multiple industries, categories and pursuits from athlete to senior leadership teams  

  • Strong project management skills – ensure project milestones are met according to commitments; ability to manage and prioritize a wide variety of project types that vary in scope and scale and excel in a lean work environment  

  • Positive, can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through
