The role:
Kao Corporation is looking for a Marketing Intern reporting to the Marketing Director. You will support the Hello Sunday brand through second year of launch, in the areas of email marketing, social media marketing and other various tasks related to promoting awareness of the brand.
What you will do:
- This position as a Brand Marketing intern is intended to be flexible to help support the brand's most urgent needs, however, key areas of focus will be in direct-to-consumer selling, email marketing and social media marketing.
- Assist with product & sales tracking & reporting
- Assist with the execution of Marketing plans that drive brand objectives.
- Assists with asset creation through the internal approval process.
- Assist with monthly analysis to track & report sales data to review performance of the category, brand, and competition.
- Helps track promotional and social calendars
What you will need:
- Entrepreneurial mindset to assist with the launch of a premium beauty brand in it's first year in the US market
- Strong project management skills & attention to detail are a must
- Must be able to demonstrate & show examples of creativity and innovative thinking
- Direct-to-consumer selling knowledge inclusive of email marketing
- Detailed knowledge of key social channels and content strategy, not just a user of social media
- Knowledge & interest in premium beauty brands
- Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively is critical.
- Availability of 40 hours per week during the summer and potential for extension after that time
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program.
- Ideally has a marketing background, either in education or work experience
- Has held prior internships in the marketing field. CPG and or beauty experience
A reasonable pay range is $18/hr.
