In this exciting new role, the APAC Marketing Director will work closely with the Business Development Director to lead the growth of the Champion Petfood’s brands, Acana and Orijen across key international markets. Working collectively with the Champion Petfood’s APAC Commercial Team and local market distributors to ensure the marketing and sales support to achieve commercial KPI and foster a successful collaboration with importers and retailers.
Ideally, you'll bring an entrepreneurial mindset, blending strategic thinking and innovation, and be comfortable in an exciting and dynamic scale up environment.
What we are looking for?
- An ambitious, enthusiastic person with expert marketing skills and experience working with FMCG of in the pet food industry.
- Minimum 5-7 years working within a breadth marketing environment role with robust strategic agility.
- Substantial experience in similar regional roles, and an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and a willingness to travel.
- Someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritize and deliver through complexity, understanding what is likely to really deliver an impact- especially on a commercial level.
- A strong self-starting, can-do attitude is crucial for the successful candidate as well as great analytical and communication skills and the ability to motivate and convince others.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Point of contact for all needs related to marketing for retail accounts e.g., assets creation, liaising with global team on brand guidelines, briefing and managing agencies, when necessary, point of contact for marketing teams and commercial teams within retail partners.
- Create shopper marketing insights for the region and add value through analytical and empirical insights gathered through the collaboration with retail accounts.
- Revenue Growth Management, setting KPIs, monitor campaigns and activations, measure ROA and ROI.
- Responsible for developing overall advocacy strategy, as well as execution and roll out to APAC region.
- Organize & plan trade fairs (content, support material, advising, training, teaching events, distributor conferences, etc.).
- Ability to plan and predict budgets, track spending according to budget and develop plans and initiatives to stay within budget.
