We are currently looking for a dynamic, hands-on Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist to support our Performance Products Divisions located at our headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.  

Job Scope

The Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications. This includes planning, coordinating, developing, and executing marketing and communications initiatives such as internal announcements, presentations, and newsletters, product promotions and launches, advertising and messaging, events, social media, digital and web content.  

In summary, as the Marketing & Digital Communications Specialist, you will:   

  • Coordinate content development, design, production, and distribution of new marketing and communications materials (brochures, trade show materials, etc.) with outside designers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure new content is kept consistent with content on external website, in trade show visuals/materials and with brochures and technical data sheets.
  • Develop a prioritized schedule of reviewing, updating and redesigning outdated global marketing collateral using Huntsman branding guidelines. Ensure that all marketing materials are kept up-to-date on a regular cadence.
  • Design social media campaigns to promote products, regional activities at sites, and marketing events/tradeshows.
  • Coordinate translation of marketing materials for use outside the US, collaborating with external translation agencies and global communications staff.
  • Coordinate materials for review and approval by technical subject matter experts and Legal via online document review system.
  • Coordinate event/tradeshow participation in Americas region and attend as needed.
  • Manage SharePoint catalogue and image library of technical and marketing materials organized by product lines.
  • Write content for global monthly newsletters and internal articles, seeking stories to highlight from across the division.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots at sites across the Americas region with outside vendors and Corporate Communications team.
  • Uphold Huntsman brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects in coordination with Corporate Communications.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, public relations or related field
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience preferably in a corporate or business unit communications and marketing team in the chemical, manufacturing, or oil & gas industries.
  • Familiarity with business-to-business (B2B) marketing and sales activities for chemicals, industrial or manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and Portuguese is highly beneficial for this role.

Interpersonal Skills required:

  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to bring highly creative ideas to the table, devise a plan, and execute according to budget and timelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with individuals at all levels of the organization, including Executives.
  • Ability to multitask on various projects, while effectively communicating timelines to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, cooperation, and follow-through for all projects including time and budget management.
  • Generates a sense of energy and excitement to deliver while leveraging creative problem-solving skills to propose new solutions and ideas.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to adapt quickly to new or ambiguous situations.

Technical Skills required:

  • High level of proficiency in digital platforms: social media, website, e-mail communications.
  • Strong writing ability (note: Associated Press style is our standard).
  • Proficiency with design software including, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, SharePoint, Teams.
