As Marketing Copywriter Intern, you will join an experienced and dynamic Copy team to develop engaging and persuasive copy for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to business (B2B) communications. You must be responsive, flexible and demonstrate exceptional writing and communication skills.
PlanetArt internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the PlanetArt workday. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Key job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Copy team to develop engaging and persuasive copy for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) communications.
  • Assist in writing and editing copy for emails, SMS texts, web, print/catalog, paid and organic social, product descriptions and more.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help generate innovative ideas for marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all copy aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and voice.
  • Participate in the review and feedback process to refine and enhance copy effectiveness.
  • Proofread all pieces for accuracy and tone.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing and copywriting.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current student with a degree focus in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Able to work up to 40 hours a week throughout the course of a 10- to 12-week summer internship between May or June through August or September 2025.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA. 
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for storytelling through written content.
  • Desire to learn processes and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Basecamp is a bonus.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
Benefits

Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $19.00 an hour.
Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
  • Position requires regular sitting and standing.
  • Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods: in-person, phone, WebEx, Slack, or email.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
