Reports To: Supervisor, Dealer Engagement & Communications 

Summary 

The Marketing Communications Specialist will play a critical role in driving customer retention, satisfaction and growth as part of the Dealer Engagement & Communications team. This highly visible role requires creativity, attention to detail, project management, and exceptional writing skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments, handle time-sensitive deliverables, effectively manage multiple communications tools and channels, develop content, and support key events, ensuring consistent, impactful messaging for internal and external audiences. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Communications Management 

  • Write, proofread, edit, and distribute internal and customer-facing communications, including newsletters, company announcements, sales communications and leadership updates. 

  • Manage communication schedules, email distribution and contact lists. 

  • Own and manage communication technology platforms, as well as related data and reporting. 

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create relevant, engaging content. 

  • Produce materials that educate and motivate audiences to drive engagement, retention and revenue generation opportunities. 

  • Oversee and maintain the company intranet, ensuring up-to-date content, easy navigation and alignment with organizational goals. 

 

Channel Engagement & Reporting 

  • Act as the "Voice of the Field," managing communication channels and engaging with sales teams and dealer personnel. 

  • Administer surveys to capture post-event and ongoing feedback. 

  • Compile and present monthly/quarterly reports on key metrics and survey insights. 

 

Event Administration and Support 

  • Coordinate monthly business updates, including data collection, talking points and presenter support. 

  • Provide ad hoc writing, research and logistical support for key events and campaigns. 

  • Support sales associates with customer-facing rewards, recognition and relationship-building opportunities. 

 

Required Skills & Competencies 

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. 

  • Proficiency in communication technologies (email platforms, CRM tools, survey software, etc.). 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience engaging cross-functional teams. 

  • Analytical mindset for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to inform decisions. 

  • Event planning and administrative expertise is a plus. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration, Advertising or Marketing Major a Plus)  

  • 3 - 5 years of communications and marketing experience required, automotive preferred.  

  • Proven experience developing and implementing digital marketing strategies across various channels.  

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.  

  • Understanding of marketing technology, and web/digital analytics platforms.  

  • Experience in PowerPoint, Excel and MS Office Suite.  

  • Experience with data visualization/dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Power BI a plus.  

  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment, multi-tasking and managing often changing priorities; Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects with short deadlines.  

  • Ability to interpret highly technical information and translate it into easily accessible information. Adept at building presentations and telling stories using visual cues.  

  • Travel required, but not to exceed 10%.
