Your role as Marketing and Translation Specialist
Reporting to the Manager, Brand Marketing, as the Marketing and Translation Specialist, you’ll be the expert dedicated to ensuring public-facing assets and communications are ready to be published in English and French. Your role is to support the Marketing team and other content creators across the organization, with translation, copy editing, and quality assurance, to help make Dialogue shine.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate and oversee the translation process with our partner agency
- Review content translated internally or by our partner agency to ensure it’s well-written, error-free, engaging, properly references Dialogue-specific terminology and follows our style guidelines
- Translate and copy-edit smaller and more urgent pieces of content (English to French)
- Proofread and review digital communications, materials and assets (slides, web pages, emails, infographics, etc.) to ensure they’ve been accurately integrated and are consistent with Dialogue branding and formatting guidelines
- Create, review, and maintain checklists, style guides, and other resources to support the content development process (including our terminology glossary)
- Support the creation of internal and external communications (including leading ad-hoc requests for content creation of small French-only pieces)
- Support the execution of various brand marketing initiatives
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- BA or equivalent degree in Linguistics, English, French studies, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in translation (English to French), and editing/writing digital marketing materials and copywriting (healthcare, technology or customer engagement experience is a plus)
- Unmatched communication skills in French & English (written and oral)
- Excellent communication writing and research skills; strong editorial and creative skills, with the ability to craft and edit messaging
- Ability to copy edit for readability, clarity, voice, tone and branding and a strong passion for story-telling
- Ability to work collaboratively on multiple cross-functional projects with different objectives simultaneously and excellent organizational skills
- Strong management of timelines to ensure timely delivery
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to evolving requirements and priorities
Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
