Position Profile:

The Marketing Lead is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive growth, retention, and customer engagement. As a member of a cross-functional squad, the Marketing Lead will work within an agile framework to collaborate with product owners and team members from Product, Sales, Digital, and other functions, ensuring that marketing initiatives are iterative, data-driven, and aligned with Cogeco’s overall strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Strategy Development: Create and implement marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth in target markets. Here are a few examples, but not limited to those:

  • Build a cross-sell strategy based on new product or new speed available.

  • Implement initiatives to boost sales based on feedback from sales channels and NPS surveys.

  • Set up a winback journey to recover accounts within a short period of time.

Campaign Management: Design, launch, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns while ensuring the user experience and the delivered projects meets the acceptance criteria.

Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the telecommunications sector (Canada and United States) to remain competitive across all channels and touchpoints.

Content Development: Oversee the creation of compelling content, including emails, direct mailing, case studies and presentations, tailored for B2B/B2C audiences.

Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, using data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve ROI.

Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring all initiatives are cost-efficient and aligned with business objectives.

Agile Marketing Leadership: Act as a key member of a cross-functional squad, contributing to the development and execution of agile marketing strategies that respond to market needs and customer feedback.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of B2B/B2C marketing principles, particularly in the telecommunications industry.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and customer engagement.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and sales platforms (Salesforce, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).

  • Bilingual: Fluent in both English and French to effectively communicate with stakeholders across Canada and the United States is a plus.

ACADEMIC TRAINING 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the telecommunications sector.

  • Experience working in an agile team or squad, with a solid understanding of agile practices is a plus.
