Job Description Summary
As an important member of the country management team (Sandoz Leadership Team), the Head Market Access will develop the Sandoz Belgium Market Access & pricing Strategy in close alignment with all relevant local and regional functions and lead the roll-out toward external stakeholders like the Ministry of Health or Health Insurances to shape favorable healthcare policy, especially in the domain of pricing and reimbursement regulations and this in line with the commercial strategy.

As an important member of the country management team (Sandoz Leadership Team), you support the business by optimizing resource allocation and sales processes by applying efficient, and innovative tailor-made recommendations to the Country Head and BU Heads to drive growth on both top and bottom line. You lead the Business Operations with the aim to improve trust and customer loyalty by maximizing customer experience through defining and improving commercial frameworks and conditions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies for our products.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders both internally as well as externally.
- Lead negotiations for pricing and reimbursement to secure favorable coverage and access.
- Provide strategic guidance on market access considerations throughout product lifecycle.
- Stay updated on market dynamics and healthcare policies to navigate challenges effectively.
- Research and analyse information from experts in the medical, regulatory, and marketing departments, and build economic negotiation arguments for pricing and valorisation of products.
- Monitor, analyse, and internally share economic news related to market access for our products, news related to the economic environment and legislation impacting market access for our products.
- Together with the above country, develop stakeholders mapping and touch point plan
- Being in the field to discuss and align with major stakeholders
- Leading the Market Access & Pricing team
What you’ll bring to the role:Essential Requirements:
- A master’s degree in in Sciences, Economics and/or Business Administration, with basis of Health Economics.
- Min of 5-7 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, including people management .
- Proven experience in Market Access and Pricing and Reimbursement within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of market access strategies, healthcare policy, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences in FR/NL/EN. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
