Overview

Our products include molecular sampling kits for the genome and microbiome, cutting-edge services and analytics, rapid diagnostics for infectious disease, and tests for substance abuse.
Please note, this opportunity is for our 2nd shift, which is 4pm to 2:30am, Mon-Thurs. This is a 4 day work week, of 10 hour days. You will have a 3 day weekend, every weekend.
Operate equipment for the assembly of medical diagnostic tests under minimal supervision.
Snapshot of Responsibilities
- Operate semi-automated and automated equipment in the production area at a sufficient rate and quality level.
- Perform on-line inspection of all components/parts produced. Take corrective action and/or make recommendations to the supervisor.
- Complete all paperwork and equipment logbooks and review other operator's paperwork for accuracy and completeness as required.
- Responsible for set-up and shutdown of equipment and work closely with the maintenance department in identifying maintenance and repair needs on the equipment.
- Provide cross training to operators on all pieces of equipment in the production area.
- Must follow all GMP and company safety regulations and guidelines.
- May assist in validation of equipment and be solicited for input into development and manufacturing process improvements.
What you bring:
- High school diploma; Associates or Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of previous manufacturing/production work.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills (English) and mathematics skills are required.
- Windows-based computer skills required, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
- Ability to use calculator, balances and measuring equipment required.
- Mechanical aptitude for general maintenance of equipment required.
- Experience with GMP/ISO manufacturing operations required.
Physical Requirements of Role
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and twist
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to operate, adjust, and maintain automated equipment
