The role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing and NPI Planner to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in coordinating production schedules, managing materials, and ensuring smooth operations to meet customer demands. The Manufacturing and NPI Planner will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Logistics, to optimize planning processes and drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. NPI Planning
    • Ensure material readiness for NPI builds and product validation, coordinate with engineering and procurement for smooth product handover to mass production.
    • Set up new items’ parameters in ERP for accurate planning in MRP.
    • Communicate risks to management and drive solutions to closure.
    • Create and manage clear to build and shortage reports.
  2. Production Planning:
    • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.
    • Monitor production progress to ensure schedules are met and proactively address any potential delays.
  3. Material Coordination:
    • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure the timely availability of materials.
    • Monitor material inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  4. Capacity Management:
    • Assess production capacity and recommend adjustments to resources or schedules to meet demand.
    • Collaborate with operations teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  5. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports on schedule adherence, material usage, and inventory levels.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Participate in initiatives to enhance planning processes and optimize supply chain operations.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and reduce waste.
  7. Communication & Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between production, sales, and logistics teams.
    • Provide timely updates on schedule changes or challenges to stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Schedule adherence (% on-time production completion).
  • Inventory turnover and accuracy.
  • Material availability rates.
  • Reduction in downtime or bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing planning, production control, or supply chain.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Business Central).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material planning.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other planning tools.
  • Understanding of MRP planning logic.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $175,000 per year, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
