You will be joining an agile organization and will be an integral member in growing the wholesale business. As the Manager of Trade Marketing, you will be a key partner both cross functionally and with our wholesale partners to execute the channel marketing strategy. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on building the wholesale strategy to ensure we are achieving the Company’s goals - all while bringing exciting products/campaigns to life!
Six Month Expectations
Marketing Planning & Coordination
- Responsible for managing the retailer product setup forms and submitting all documents by retailer deadlines.
- Manage all retailer creative needs including retailer dotcom, merchandising, collateral, event materials, comps, education etc, from brief to final deliver
- Manage retailer sampling and GWP forecasting, planning, execution, and budgeting.
- Maintain retailer marketing calendars for all exclusives, promotions, sampling programs, events, etc. to share with broader organization
- Maintain retailer side by sides and ensure they are accurately updated with all promotional & marketing activity
- Serve as NA wholesale marketing primary point person and lead internal cross functional meetings to foster communication and ensure seamless execution of marketing programs
Retailer Meetings, Retailer Calendar, Retailer Relationships
- Serve as primary point person for retailer market week meetings and ongoing updates with all accounts
- Work with Director, Wholesale and internal teams on meeting agenda & flow
- Prepare decks for all meetings with adequate advanced timing, ensuring that all input from key stakeholders is incorporated
- Present tailored talking points for each account
- Issue detailed and timely meeting recaps and manage follow-up
- Develop and maintain retailer-specific calendars to manage and track launch dates and programs
- Manage account relationships, field retailer requests, and provide program updates
- As needed, travel for retailer meetings, event, conferences
Co-op Budget
- Work closely with Director of Wholesale on retailer coop and sampling budgetsSubmit all invoices in timely manner to A/PTrack/manage all incoming costs and keep budgets updated at all timesIdentify and elevate budget irregularities and overages to senior team
Twelve+ Month Expectations
Marketing Planning & Coordination
- Develop seasonal and long-term retailer-specific strategies, plan and execute successful product launches & exclusive programs
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and launch retailer-specific products, including exclusive kits and discovery sets
- Partner with the product marketing team to develop new, innovative sampling formats to encourage consumer trial. Manage excess sample inventory and track new sample production to ensure it meets programming timing.
- Coordinate with global marketing on the development and timing of all brand marketing campaigns, ensuring all retailer needs and due dates are met
- Work closely with PR/Social team to develop plans to provide digital support to retail partners
- As applicable, manage planning and execution for all retailer-based brand fairs
Industry Knowledge & Reporting
- Follow and report competitive initiatives in field (interesting events, training concepts, merchandising)
- Leverage market insights, articulate business success metrics, and execute initiatives on time and within budget
- Contribute to internal post-mortems to aggregate learnings and apply to future launches
Qualifications
- 5+ years marketing related experience
- Experience working with Sephora
- Self-starter, solution-minded, highly organized, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through is a must
- Must have ability to think strategically, conceptualize new ideas, initiate change and react to fast-paced environment
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal capabilities with external partners and internal functional groups
- High degree of proficiency in working with numbers, quantitative analysis and budget management
In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is $86,000.00 - $112,000.00.
- There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term and Long Term Disability leave, and a range of other benefits.
