About Team:

We collaborate across the business to reduce our exposure to external and internal technical risks. We put controls in place and regularly review and test our systems to ensure they meet recovery targets. We are “trusted partners” to the business and Technology teams to understand their priorities.

About Role:

You will lead the execution of a robust ongoing Technical Resilience strategy, engaging with multiple stakeholders as we look to ensure the successful final delivery of a resilience uplift programme, as well as defining processes and tools to ensure that resilience remains a key ongoing component of our products and services.

You will report effectively on progress to multiple groups. You will ensure risk points are identified and communicated effectively, to allow decisions to be taken. You will work with teams to plan effective remediation where necessary and be able to justify the benefits of doing so. This will include a key focus on the threats posed by technical failure, data integrity, and security events.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and evolving the Infrastructure Technical Resilience Strategy and associated processes.

  • Maintaining productive relationships across Technology to influence and drive change.

  • Leading ongoing initiatives to ensure capabilities are maintained, tested, and evaluated.

  • Providing effective status reporting to keep stakeholders informed of progress, issues, and opportunities.

  • Managing a dedicated Project Manager to support ongoing delivery and reporting.

  • Building a strong case for Return on Investment (ROI) to justify continued resilience spending.

  • Serve as a trusted partner to technical and business teams on best practices for Technical Resilience.

  • Scale capabilities to adapt to future requirements and opportunities.

  • Lead and develop the team with a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Technology Resilience and Disaster Recovery, especially for AWS cloud-hosted services.

  • Experience collaborating with software development and infrastructure teams at scale.

  • Familiarity with tools such as AWS Fault Injection Simulator or equivalent.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical content to diverse audiences.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to foster team collaboration to resolve issues.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and how central services can influence product management priorities.

  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support data-driven decision-making.
