The Manager of Software Operations will oversee and optimize the operational functions supporting Kardex FulfillX software lifecycle. This leader will manage a multidisciplinary team comprising Software Project Managers, Software Partner Managers, Training Engineers, and Software Release Managers. The role requires close collaboration with Product, Development, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery. Your tasks

Job Purpose

  • Lead and manage the operational aspects of software delivery across projects, releases, partnerships, and training.
  • Foster alignment between Product, Development, and QA teams to support software lifecycle success.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes for enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Support the strategic goals of Kardex’s software product portfolio through proactive leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor Software Project Managers, Software Partner Managers, Training Engineers, and Software Release Managers.
    • Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide professional development opportunities.
    • Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Design and implement workflows to standardize project management, release cycles, partner collaboration, and training programs.
    • Monitor operational metrics and use data-driven insights to enhance team and process performance.
    • Ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives in alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as a bridge between Product, Development, and QA teams, ensuring shared understanding and objectives.
    • Proactively address risks and blockers, maintaining adherence to timelines and deliverables.
    • Partner with Product Managers to align on roadmap priorities and release schedules.
    • Ensure efficient communication processes between Product and Project including trainings, release notes, and additional communication paths
  • Strategic Contribution
    • Drive initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness within software delivery.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on operational improvements and resource planning.
    • Help drive and build KPIs for strategic decision steering on the software level

Job Requirements

Training/Education:

Business or technical degree in software engineering or a similar field is preferred

Professional Experience:

  • Extensive experience in operational leadership roles within software or technology-focused organizations.
  • Strong background in managing cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality operational outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Certifications such as PMP or ScrumMaster are highly desirable.

Leadership

  • Proven ability to inspire and lead diverse teams toward achieving common goals.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
