Job Summary 

The Manager of Shore Excursions is key in delivering luxury travel experiences through premium shore excursions. While the Product Development team leads the planning, the Manager coordinates and executes these high-end, customized excursions with internal teams and external partners to ensure they meet customer expectations and safety standards.

This role involves managing diverse projects, building strong vendor relationships, and ensuring the smooth implementation of strategic excursion offerings. Essential Functions

• Ensure that the Shore Excursions and deliverables defined by the Product Development team are carried out efficiently and effectively, following the established timelines and quality standards.
• Plan and manage the execution process with third-party service providers, ensuring clear communication of project goals, deadlines, and requirements.
• Work closely with Product Development to create detailed execution plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and vendor coordination.
• Track the progress of execution activities, both internally and externally, to ensure alignment with Product Development objectives. 
• Regularly report on key metrics, issues, and achievements.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service levels are met according to the project’s needs.
• Proactively identify potential risks in the execution process, particularly with third-party providers, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaison between the Product Development team, third-party vendors, and other internal stakeholders, facilitating smooth project execution and clear communication across all parties.
• Work with Marketing and third-party service providers to ensure Shore Excursion descriptions are accurate and set guest expectations. 
• Oversee Shore Excursions Specialist to ensure the necessary inventory is available for sale. 
• Provide support to the Shore Excursion Sales team with Shore Excursion inquiries and training.
• Partners with the Manager, Shore Excursions Quality and Training, and the onboard Shore Excursion team to review the Shore Excursion programs during and after the voyage to handle incidents/accidents and address escalations and complaints.

CompetencyEducation:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geography, Fine Arts, Hospitality Management or equivalent 

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant shore excursion experience 
• Worldwide Destination Knowledge
• Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor project activities
• Experience working with third-party service providers, including contract negotiation and performance management
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage relationships with both internal teams and external vendors
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues quickly and efficiently
• Knowledge of product development processes and a strong understanding of operational execution requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to maintain positive, pleasant behavior while engaging tour operators & colleagues 
• Ability to supervise, mentor, critique, and coach managers and vendors 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Work Environment

• Hybrid office environment. Travel as needed.
