The SEO Manager will lead the company's SEO initiatives, developing and executing strategies that align with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly goals, and monthly objectives. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise in SEO, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing content-driven SEO projects at scale. The ideal candidate will stay ahead of industry trends, including AI's impact on SEO, and leverage this knowledge to innovate and maintain a competitive edge. The SEO Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies as part of the AOP, quarterly planning, and monthly planning.
  • Lead and mentor a team of SEO professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with content teams to create and scale content marketing initiatives that drive organic growth.
  • Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, tools, and algorithm changes, including advancements in AI, and apply insights to strategy development.
  • Design and implement experiments to test new SEO tactics and innovations, analyzing results to refine strategies.
  • Develop and manage content strategies for the Blog and Learn sections to boost organic visibility.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and design, to execute SEO projects seamlessly.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors such as content providers, design agencies, and SEO consultants to augment in-house capabilities.
  • Monitor and report on SEO performance metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Conduct technical SEO audits and implement optimization strategies to improve site performance and search engine rankings.
    • Optimize site architecture, URL structures, and internal linking to enhance crawl efficiency and user experience.
    • Monitor and resolve technical issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and page speed optimization.
    • Ensure compliance with search engine guidelines and best practices, including schema markup implementation.
    • Perform keyword research and develop content strategies aligned with user intent and search trends.
    • Optimize on-page elements such as meta titles, descriptions, headers, and images to improve content SEO

    Qualifications

    • 6 to 7 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of managing large-scale content-driven SEO projects.
    • Expertise in technical SEO, including site architecture, crawl optimization, and mobile-first indexing.
    • Strong understanding of content marketing strategies and their role in SEO.
    • Familiarity with AI and its evolving role in the SEO industry, with the ability to integrate AI-driven tools and techniques.
    • Experience in conducting experiments and implementing innovative SEO practices.
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across various departments.
    • Experience managing external vendors and agencies to achieve project goals.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present strategies and results to senior leadership.
