The Job

  • Act as people manager of the New Business (NB) administration team

  • Manage the team to ensure the team operates smoothly under any circumstances

  • Oversee the team to deliver high quality work and service within the committed service turnaround time

  • Monitor NB procedure and identify areas of improvement in the process

  • Develop NB operational framework, policies, procedure guidelines

  • Support Internal Audit or External Audit parties on material preparation: data, image file, forms, historical procedure manual etc.

  • Provided training to New Business and Underwriting team based on audit or QA findings

  • Communicate with major partner departments to address specific business needs and arrange ad-hoc support

  • Participate in projects with major partner departments on improve current operational processes to enhance operational efficiency or meet regulatory requirement

The Person

  • Degree Holder with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in insurance industry

  • At least 2 years’ experience in managerial role. Capable to manage at least 10 team members

  • Familiar with MS office (word, excel etc.)

  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and attentive to details

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to work under pressure and willing to work overtime (will need to work on weekend or even public holiday during month end closing)

  • Maintain good business relationship with channels, e.g agency, bancassurance, broker etc.
