About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and entrepreneurial Category Commercial & Operations Manager to lead the growth of our Japan Onsen hotel product line with bundled package offers (e.g., dinner-inclusive stays, cultural experiences, and other value-adds). This is a key leadership role responsible for incubating and scaling this product category, with full P&L ownership.

You will shape the commercial strategy, design marketing tactics, and build the operational infrastructure needed to drive business results. Working cross-functionally with supply, marketing, and product teams, you'll turn insights into execution, with a sharp focus on growth, profitability, and customer value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Category P&L: Manage revenue, cost, and margin targets for the Japan Onsen & Package Offers product line.

  • Develop Growth Strategy: Build and execute a commercial growth plan to scale the category, from pilot to expansion.

  • Design Value Propositions: Innovate on packaged offerings – including meals, experiences, and unique services – tailored to local traveler demand and partner capabilities.

  • Marketing & Go-to-Market: Collaborate with marketing teams to design and deploy targeted campaigns to drive category awareness and conversions.

  • Optimize Operations: Set up scalable workflows and processes to support onboarding, fulfillment, and customer experience for Onsen hotel packages.

  • Partner Management: Collaborate with supply teams to identify and develop high-potential partners in the Japan Onsen segment.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and customer feedback to continuously improve offer quality, pricing, and operations.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Act as the business owner for the category, aligning stakeholders across supply, marketing, product, operations, and finance.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, strategy, operations, or commercial roles – ideally within travel, hospitality, or e-commerce.

  • Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on execution mindset.

  • Demonstrated experience in owning a product line or P&L.

  • Commercially savvy with the ability to design compelling offers and go-to-market plans.

  • Operationally rigorous; can build new processes from the ground up and scale them efficiently.

  • Strong data orientation; comfortable using metrics to guide decisions.

  • Fluent in English & Mandarin. Japanese language proficiency is a plus.

  • Passion for Japanese culture, travel, and hospitality is highly desirable.
