About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer, the Manager, Security Engineering will contribute to the establishment, design and development of engineering solutions that support enterprise-wide security initiatives relating to Corporate IT and Customer service systems, assets, and procedures. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.

You Will:

  • Initiate and perform risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify risks in internally-developed and third-party services and applications.
  • Identify, develop, and security standards, guidelines, policies and create long lasting solutions to mitigate risk across the organization.
  • Identify needs and hire security expertise to address the areas of greatest need and will both design and implement strategies to secure Remitly’s corporate and customer service infrastructure and processes.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with enterprise security and customer support security.
  • 3 years of experience with leading security and technical teams, projects and security deployments;
  • 3 years of experience with developing and implementing solutions to improve security posture across multiple platforms including Linux, MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android and ChromeOS;
  • 3 years of experience with assessing security risks within SaaS applications and driving improvements from vendors and internal configurations;
  • 3 years of experience with communicating risks and driving resulting mitigations with stakeholders;
  • 3 years of experience with leading development resources and managing DevOps;
  • 3 years of experience with reviewing, understanding, and committing changes in product, infrastructure, and security codebases;
  • 3 years of experience with architecting and implementing technical controls to meet compliance and security requirements;
  • 3 years of experience with Big Data reporting tools and methodologies, including basic SQL and data
  • warehouses; and
  • 3 years of experience with SaaS, Cloud Security, OS Security, Customer Service, and Mobile platform Security.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $251,576.00 - $290,000.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
