Job Summary
As an Optimum Sales Readiness Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Optimum Consumer or Business Sales organization with a focus on Contact Centers, Field Sales, Retail Sales, Digital Sales, SMB - Small-to-Medium Business, Enterprise, or the Optimum Market Structure. This highly consultative role will be responsible for the program management of all considerations related to the preparation of sales teams to successfully execute on growth opportunities. Learning and communications programs will focus on selling skills, product knowledge, order quality, leadership development, and distance learning. All of which should be adaptable to respond to changing business needs. The Sales Readiness Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and make decisions related to training, communications, reporting, compensation impacts, and system readiness. This position will report to the Director of Sales Readiness.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain readiness playbooks to effectively execute program management of process and procedure enhancements and product, service, and offer campaigns and initiatives and capture key lessons learned.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Engagement teams to ensure the business outcomes are achieved and foster an environment of continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor adherence to readiness playbooks and key performance indicators in sales cycles to identify process pain points and inform data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Consult with Sales Channel leaders and frontline teams to develop a readiness strategy; owning the transformational approach to grow our broadband and mobile business by delivering best-in-class knowledge and skill transfer experiences.
  • Identify, secure, and assess curricula/content, reporting, compensation impacts and systems/tool processes and enhancements that will enable sales frontline teams' productivity, effectiveness, and customer engagement.
  • Deeply embed yourself in the subject matter expertise of Optimum products, services, and offers, including the consultative sales process and procedure.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry best practices, and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Build relationships with key cross-functional partners to understand how training and communications content is being received and engaged and take action based on feedback.
  • Ensure that initiatives are measurable in terms of improving the capabilities of frontline teams and creating learning experiences.
  • Drive alignment across the Growth and Sales organizations and other departments through clear communication and change management practices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or relevant field is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales operations and sales training, preferably in the technology or telecommunications industry.
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, customer engagement strategies, and sales methodologies to address the unique needs of frontline sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Program/project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiative priorities within a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment
  • Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms, including but not limited to CRM (Customer Relation Management) systems, knowledge database platforms, and learning management systems.
  • Experience in communications and executive presence, including collaborating and interacting with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to measure the impact of sales readiness programs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, judgement, and decision-making skills in highly complex situations.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00 - $168,912.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
