The Role
Manage internal systems supporting the Solution Architect team, optimize workflows, improve system performance, and lead change initiatives.
Summary Generated by Built In

MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

The GTM Operations Manager for Go-To-Market Internal Systems for Solution Architect Operations will be instrumental in optimizing the internal technology ecosystem that directly supports our global team of Solution Architects. This role will oversee the end-to-end management of MongoDB’s internal GTM and technical enablement technology landscape, ensuring it directly aligns with and supports the unique operational needs and workflows of the Solution Architect organization. You will be responsible for optimizing system performance, improving the user experience for our Solution Architects, and driving process efficiencies across the GTM tech stack as it pertains to their specific activities and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architect Workflow Optimization: Identify, map, and enhance critical Solution Architect-specific GTM processes (e.g., technical discovery, solution design documentation, sizing, knowledge sharing), implementing targeted technology solutions to streamline these workflows and improve Solution Architect productivity and effectiveness
  • SA-Centric System Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of internal GTM systems (e.g., CRM, knowledge management platforms, technical content repositories, demo environments) with a specific focus on how these tools are utilized by and impact the Solution Architect team
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration (with SA Focus): Partner closely with teams in Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and IT, with a particular emphasis on understanding and representing the needs of the Solution Architect organization to ensure seamless integration of systems and alignment with their specific business requirements and technical engagement models
  • Solution Architect Training and Enablement: Develop and deliver tailored training programs and support resources to enable Solution Architects to effectively leverage internal GTM systems and adhere to best practices in their technical engagements
  • Change Management (for SA Impact): Lead change management initiatives specifically related to system updates and process changes that affect the Solution Architect team, ensuring smooth adoption and minimizing disruption to their technical activities
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting (SA Lens): Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness and adoption of internal systems by the Solution Architect team, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Technical Content and Asset Management Systems: Contribute to the optimization of systems used for managing technical content, solution design assets, and demo environments, ensuring easy access and usability for Solution Architects
  • Liaison for SA Technology Needs: Act as a primary point of contact for the Solution Architect organization regarding internal system-related issues, requests, and strategic initiatives

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations or a related field, with significant and demonstrable experience managing internal systems and a strong understanding of how these systems support technical pre-sales activities
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), workflow automation tools, and sales/technical enablement tech stack management, with a proven ability to tailor these systems to the specific needs of a technical field organization like Solution Architects
  • Proven experience in process improvement and documentation, with a strategic mindset toward system optimization specifically within the context of technical sales and solution delivery.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting to and training Solution Architect teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate Solution Architect business needs into system requirements and process improvements.
  • Experience working directly with or supporting Solution Architect teams is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with knowledge management systems, technical content repositories, and demo environment management is a plus
