Reporting to the Regional Director of IT Business Engagement, the Regional Application Manager, NA, is responsible for overseeing the IT architecture, application lifecycle, vendor management, and user support within a region. This role ensures high service quality, compliance with organizational policies, and alignment with global IT strategies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Application Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of applications, including planning, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Work closely with IT Enterprise architecture team and business users to design long-term architecture in line with global requirements. Collaborate with various IT teams and vendors to ensure application function effectively, meet business needs, comply with industry standards and operational readiness for application projects.
• System Architecture Oversight: Design, develop, and maintain the IT architecture for relevant business capabilities in the region. Ensure integration of applications, hardware, databases, and networks into the global gategroup IT landscape.
• System Optimization: Identify areas for improvement, recommend enhancements and lead system upgrades. Track application performance and user feedback to implement improvements.
• Vendor and SLA Management: Act as the primary liaison with software vendors for local/regional applications. Ensure SLA compliance, service quality, and negotiate contracts in collaboration with Global IT and procurement teams.
• Budget Management: Manage the application budget for regional software. Assist in building and preparing annual IT budgets, providing financial insights and reporting.
• User Support: Ensure support to users, addressing any issues or concerns related to applications. Collaborate with Desk-Side Support and Service Desk, and provides Knowledge Base, troubleshooting guides and training materials. Serve as the first escalation point for local/regional application issues.
• Governance and Compliance: Ensure all local/regional applications comply with organizational IT policies and governance frameworks. Collaborate with Business Engagement Managers (BEM) to align application strategies with business requirements.
• Project Management: Lead application-related projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Coordinate with Business Engagement Managers for requirements and technical implementation managers for handoff.
Core Competencies and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Work Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in application management or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with application lifecycle management tools and methodologies.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
Technical/Language Skills
Certification, Licences, and Regisration
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes.
• Sound knowledge of applications and technologies used to support the main business processes
• Knowledge of the structure and processes within IT services
• Knowledge of enterprise software solutions such as ERP, CRM etc.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes
• Excellent English skills. Any other major language of the region preferred

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
