About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Project Lead to oversee the development and execution of procurement strategy initiatives within our organization. As the Project Lead - Procurement Strategy & Development, you will be responsible for identifying improvement areas, driving efficiency enhancements, and leading global change management projects that align with our overall mission and vision. Your ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, achieve targeted improvement results, and drive stakeholder alignment will be key to the success of this role. In this role you will lead cross functional strategic and substantial improvement projects, driving change within the procurement organization in order to establish a best in class and innovative working environment.

What You Will Do

  • Strategy Identification and Initiation:
    • Identify improvement areas and efficiency enhancements within the Procurement & BCA organization.
    • Initiate strategic projects and initiatives that drive change and align with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Global Change Management Project Leadership & Team Management:
    • Simultaneously lead complex change management projects or initiatives with global impact.
    • Lead cross-functional project management teams within and outside the procurement organization.
    • Define project milestones and drive their successful achievement within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Develop, Drive & Continuously Improve Standards and Best Practices within the Procurement & BCA organization.
    • Take ownership of developing and continuously improving global Procurement & BCA standards and best practices.
    • Ensure adherence to industry-leading procurement practices and promote a best-in-class working environment.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices within the procurement field.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment:
    • Drive cross-functional alignment on all levels of management within and outside the procurement organization.
    • Achieve stakeholder acceptance and influence to bring about desired changes in business processes.
    • Foster collaboration and build relationships to support the strategic development of procurement.
  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Provide periodic status reports on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior-level management, conveying project updates and seeking decision-making support.
    • Engage senior management participants as needed to ensure project success within defined timeframes and frameworks.
  • Results-Oriented Approach:
    • Take ownership of the targeted improvement areas and ensure their successful achievement.
    • Drive strategic alignment and business development initiatives to support the organization's overall mission and vision.
    • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes to measure the impact and effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
    • Responsible to successfully achieve the targeted improvement areas of the owned projects within time, quality and budget
    • Self-responsible definition and driving of project milestones in order to successfully achieve targeted improvement results within defined areas and schedules

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant business experience within procurement or surrounding functions
  • Proven experience in leading strategic projects or initiatives within a procurement or related function.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent coordination and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels of management.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present to senior-level management.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targeted improvement outcomes.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to mediate between conflicted parties
  • Strong presentation skills

What is Nice to Have

  • MBA or Masters degree
  • Experience in different procurement functions within and outside HARMAN
  • Experience in change management projects and/or managing cross functional projects and teams

Salary Ranges:

$ 105,000 - $ 154,000
