As the Manager – Portfolio Management & Business Strategy, you will lead a high-performing team dedicated to shaping our company’s strategic direction and advancing critical initiatives. Through close collaboration with cross-functional partners, you and your team will optimize portfolio outcomes—balancing resources, managing risks, and adapting to new market and regulatory demands. In this role, you will guide your team in analyzing complex business challenges, developing forward-looking strategies, and executing on initiatives that drive measurable results in reliability, financial performance, and operational efficiency. What does a Manager – Portfolio Management & Business Strategy do?
Key Responsibilities:

Leads the planning, evaluation, and prioritization of electric and gas projects and programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term strategy and short-term objectives

Works closely with executives to shape business strategies and adjust existing plans to help support the transformation of the business

Assesses and refines portfolio investments to maximize financial outcomes and reliability, using data-driven insights to optimize and drive measurable results

Anticipates shifts in regulatory requirements, industry conditions, and organizational needs, and proactively adapt the project portfolio to capitalize on emerging opportunities

Partners with leaders across the company to create cohesive, executable strategies that engage stakeholders at all levels, encouraging transparency and fostering a culture of shared ownership

Provides support for storm restoration efforts
What does it take to be a Manager – Portfolio Management & Business Strategy?
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a relevant field and 5+ years of related work experience

Demonstrated ability in use of data, formulating business strategies, or understanding of business model(s)
-
Ability to work across diverse teams, influence stakeholders, and foster an environment of shared responsibility and innovation
-
Strong proficiency in identifying opportunities, understanding of utility practices, and using data to inform decisions in a highly dynamic context

Valid driver’s license
Preferred:

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a relevant field
-
Experience within the energy or utility sector
