About the role :
Fulfill all financial requirements till final closing of Accounts, Product Costing & analysis for better control and minimize cost with full exposer to SAP RTR & PTP tower operations.
The role is based at Mehsana Plant (Gujarat).
Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
Manufacturing and Agriculture Finance
Measure & report Manufacturing Operations /Supply Chain performance
- Define, implement & maintain systems, processes & reporting tools to accurately measure supply chain & manufacturing financial results i.e. TPC inclusive of Potato and Seed cost, inventory & production costs, labor costs, scrap & waste, production & price variances, productivity metrics, etc.
- Oversee processing of plant manufacturing and Agriculture transactions & reconciliations.
- Report & present to management manufacturing and Agriculture operation's financial results, KPIs, risks & opportunities
PRODUCT COSTING
Select, Define & Apply Costing Methodologies:
- Cost Accounting function - select methodology, determine & maintain product costing i.e. standard costs, carry out BOM updates for spec/ packaging changes.
- Assist in preparation of plant operating plans / budgets. Develop overhead rates to drive product costing including freight & customs rates. Study activity drivers to determine & apply the most appropriate method to allocate overhead costs.
- Support new product costing & feasibility analysis
- Monthly product wise actual costing
- Preparation of TPC bridge.
- Potato and Seed component wise costing
Participate in product costing (BOM), calculation of Total Production Cost (TPC), forecasting, comparison with AOC and its analysis for variance.
Perform & Manage Variance Analysis (Production Usage & Price etc.):
- Monitor, analyze & identify towards TPC costs and variances & recommend corrective actions
- Report variances and work with Supply Chain, Agriculture & Manufacturing managers to identify, isolate & focus attention on cause & effect relationships and implement corrective actions / improvements
BUDGETING & FORECASTING (Manufacturing)
- Participate in budget preparation, monthly variance analysis with accrual's. Approved budget upload in BPC package, variance analysis to be done for line wise / item wise, coordinating with concerned department for overspending.
- Involve and coordination to prepare of AOC, E1, E2 & E3 data related to TPC, Plant OH, Fixed Assets
Accounting, Reporting & Controlling (Potato and Potato Seed):
- Take part actively on Accounts closing on monthly/quarterly and annually, finalise Provision, review of expenses line wise, analyze them and deliver as per expectations.
- Budgeting/Forecasting for Agronomy along with Analysis with Actuals- AOC , E1 , E2 , E3, ( Grower Cost , Non Grower Cost, Seed Costing, Overhead, Working Capital, SCA & R&O ) - Get it approved from Finance GM , GM Agriculture, Regional Director Agriculture (APMEA, ANZSA, IN, CN) , Chief Agriculture Officer, Global Agriculture
Analyse Agriculture operation, cost and impact on TPC
- Deep dive in all component of Grower Cost - (Land rent, fertilizer cost, pesticides cost, labor cost, tractor cost, equipment cost) as well as in targeted yield. Support agronomy in finalizing grower cost (Rate announcement / Approval) through proper analysis of cost of cultivation and yield impact.
- Deep dive in all component of Non Grower Cost - (Bag, Storage, Transportation, Labor, Handling material, specific equipment cost, CIPC cost) as well as analyzing of quality of services. Support agronomy / purchase to negotiate all component of non-grower cost through open book costing.
- Planning for Harvesting (Coordinate and provide Help to Agronomy team) - 1) Storage Planning - Area Finalization (SWOT - for location) - Variety finalization for each storage, 2) Segregation of transport mode farmer wise 3) cushioning / side cover / top cover distribution to transporter 4) Bag distribution to farmers 5) Jumbo bag distribution to farmer for bulk loading
- NEW FROM AGRO
Strategic plan/Long range Plan (LRP):To work with respective functions to get input and analyze Strategic Planning of 5 year with proper future estimation based on historical implications and assumptions. After analyzing closely work with FP&A team to conclude impact on Company P&L.
Drive SCA Initiatives.
- Drive all India SCA initiatives, analyze, reporting with Interest of lower cost,
- Details deep dive of Manufacturing & Agriculture SCA projects, help to identify various initiatives, calculations etc. with respective functions.
WORKING CAPITAL: Develop and maintain financial models to forecast working capital trends and identify potential risks or opportunities, I.e. Inventory, Payables and Receivable
AUDITS: Coordination with internal and statutory auditor and provide all schedules as per their requirements. Resolve points highlights by auditors. Implements all recommendation and sustain them. Implement all controls and suggestion to avoid any negative comments.
CAPEX & REA PREPARATION
- Coordinate to calculate saving/payback
- Help to prepare REA
- Help to prepare Postmortem for savings project
MIS & RECONCILIATIONS: All SL/GL need to prepare monthly basis and get it approved by concerned. Also provide monthly reporting of Manufacturing and Agricultural
About You:
- 7-10 Years of Work Experience in FMCG& similar industry
- Should have knowledge on accounting standard and accounting principles
- Should have exposure of team handling and dealing with subordinates.
- Should have Competencies to handle day to day financial activities independently
- Knowledge of Fund/Cash flow.
- Handling Fixed asset & Depreciation
- Knowledge of capital Expenditure.
- Knowledge in MIS
- Handling Auditors (External & Internal).
- Product Costing and actual Cost report and its analysis.
- Knowledge about budgeting and variances.
- Capable to handle latest ERP based accounting software
- Communication skills
- Knowledge in statutory compliance.
