This position sits within the North America payroll region and will be based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This highly visible role manages the team responsible for colleague facing payroll support for US and Canada

The role will require collaboration with HR, Finance, IT, Payroll Operational teams, & Payroll Vendors to ensure payroll execution is both timely and accurate and that the Company meets its Statutory responsibilities.

This Sr Payroll Manager is responsible for team performance and will contribute to regional projects. Close collaboration with the operational payroll team is essential. Possessing an evolved technical and customer service aptitude, you will identify trends and turn into actionable improvements, identify and addresses training needs of the team and track performance to defined SLA’s. Creating a stable, standardized, consistent and professional operating environment is critical to ensuring the team meets and exceeds customer and leadership expectations.

Key Responsibilties:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead a team of 9 Payroll Colleague Support Analysts for the US and Canada, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and career growth.

Payroll Processing and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate calculations of leave of absence payments and handle related payroll implications.

  • Supervise time reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of time records.

  • Handle employee overpayments, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.

Case Management and Employee Support:

  • Handle payroll-related inquires, implementing corrective actions, and resolving sophisticated payroll issues.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated employee inquiries regarding payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.

Data Integrity and Confidentiality:

  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality of payroll data, ensuring secure and compliant payroll operations.

  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Collaboration and Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with HR, Colleague Services, Finance, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll operations and alignment with company policies.

  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging AI and other advanced tools and technologies to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Extensive experience with ADP GlobalView payroll systems.
  • Proficient in WorkDay HCM & Time and Absence modules.
  • Experience with AI and automation tools in payroll processing.

Leadership and Analytical Skills:

  • Proven track record to lead and manage effective teams, driving performance and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

Communication and Problem-Solving:

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Adaptability and Deadline Management:

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience, required. We value both formal education and relevant work experience, recognizing that they can contribute equally to the qualifications for this position.
  • CPP a plus

Experience

  • Experience working in a multinational company with a diverse workforce.
  • Knowledge of multi-state and international payroll regulations.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experienced knowledge of ADP GlobalView, Workday HCM/Time
  • Strong leadership presence, required

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This position could require 10% - 25% travel from the home location to include multiple nights.
